DIPTYQUE ⏤ ORPHEON
A creative encounter between the musician Lewis OfMan and the perfumer Olivier Pescheux.

Orphéon, A Scent in a Song
To celebrate the release of the new eau de parfum Orphéon, we asked diptyque to have its olfactory notes interpreted by the talented Parisian musician Lewis OfMan.
The film "A Scent In A Song" is a tribute to the mythical night bar Orphéon. When jazz and bossa nova meet Lewis OfMan's synthesizers, the creative energy of the Left Bank in the 60s is reinvented.
Released on April 07th 2021, the campaign revolves around:
the Orpheon track available on streaming platforms and on vinyl
a 3' documentary film retracing the encounter between Lewis and Olivier
an exclusive live video performance by Lewis OfMan
short capsules on the history of the creation of the Orphéon track
the release of 3 remixes by international artists Ciel, Harrison and Xin Seha
The campaign has gained visibility thanks to the sharing of the track by music press, influenceurs and artists like Pedro Winter (Ed Banger).

“I’ve always known diptyque. When I was little, I used to go to my father’s painting studio, where there’d be the distinct fragrance of the Feu de bois candle. It’s a scent I associate with creation during the day. With the Orphéon perfume, however, it’s the opposite: this is about nightlife, about the club. In this club, in that era, jazz filled the air. It was the dawn of bossa nova coming to Europe. Orphéon allowed me to recreate the soundtrack of this mood, which I think is brilliant.” - Lewis OfMan
